Kindness
Has arrived at this doorstep
An open playground beyond.
Withering brilliance
Falls away for truer light.
Predisposed to love as I am,
What choice do I have but to play?
For I am one
Who needs nothing but to be.
And every living thing
Moves inside the heart
That surrenders to freedom
That allows the wave of the unknown
To carry it aloft and untethered
Into new realms of possibility.
So I unzip my skin
And release the hounds
For their faith is inherent
As is my glee to follow.

I love kindness arriving at the doorstep….and releasing the hounds of joy who know how to Just Be, into the new realms of possibility. Loved this poem, and the photo.
Thank you, Sherry! Only wish I had found a photo of my own pups in similar spirit. Alas, they are often moving too fast to capture in those moments!
luv that playful carefree feeling which follows the un zipped skin
Thanks for dropping by my sumie Sunday
much love…
Thank you, Gillena!
I think you are commenting on the playfulness as well as kindness of dogs. I could not agree more!
Kindness, joy, freedom and openness to possibility. Dogs demonstrate it so well and we each have the same spirit in us if we let it out to play. Nothing better than a beloved pup to wake that in us!
This is beyond beautiful! I love how you portray kindness and the importance of being open towards it. Our actions have the power to make a lot of difference 🙂
Thank you, Sanaa. I whole-heartedly agree!
The days I welcomed new puppers into my home were joyful ones. What I’d gain in savings on vacuum bags (to pick up all that corgi hair) I’d lose in joy. A few hairs on the couch is a fair trade.
You speak the truth, Rommy!
Well, you’ve touched my heart today – writing of kindness and the love of dogs, the unzipped spirit of freedom. Oh such lovely words you’ve woven.
Thank you so much, Myrna. I’m happy our hearts connected through these words.
I love the soul-naked ending, that release full of here I am… being. We could learn so many things from nature’s abandon, if we just care to look, recognize, and be.
This is beautiful… unzip my skin and release the hounds… beautifully written!
Much appreciated!
yes, what choice but to play, when man and dog is on one heart?
enjoyed this delightful poem. 🙂
I’m so glad!
The first line just so inviting and perfect…Lovely!
Thank you, Ayala!
Lovely poem. Would that glee were always to follow!
